“Tuesdays with Morrie” is back to Stage in Vancouver

Hong Kong-based performing group, Chung Ying Theatre Company (Chung Ying), will present drama performances of “Tuesdays with Morrie” at the Gateway Theatre in Vancouver from August 31 to September 2.  The performances are part of the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Toronto (HKETO)’s programme to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region in Canada with the aim of facilitating cultural exchanges between Hong Kong and Canada.

HKETO supports painting and photo exhibitions in Vancouver

The Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office (Toronto) (HKETO) supports the "Emblazoned with Inks and Images" Arts Festival which features art works by renowned artists of Hong Kong origin in Vancouver.  The Festival is organised by the Canada Chinese Arts Bridge Association to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR).

Hong Kong-based performing group, Rhythm & Tempo (R & T), will present two special tap dance performances “Muban - A Tap Dancing Journey” at City Playhouse Theatre in the City of Vaughan on July 15 and 16.

HKSAR Government welcomes further increase of investment quota for Renminbi Qualified Foreign Institutional Investor (RQFII) scheme

The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Government welcomed the announcement by the People’s Bank of China today (July 4) that the State Council has approved a further increase of the investment quota for Hong Kong’s Renminbi Qualified Foreign Institutional Investor (RQFII) scheme to Renminbi (RMB) 500 billion.

Framework Agreement on Deepening Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Cooperation in the Development of the Bay Area signed

Witnessed by President Xi Jinping, the Chairman of the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), Mr He Lifeng; the Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR), Mrs Carrie Lam; the Governor of Guangdong Province, Mr Ma Xingrui; and the Chief Executive of the Macao Special Administrative Region (MSAR), Mr Chui Sai-on, representing the NDRC, the HKSAR Government, the People's Government of Guangdong Province and the MSAR Government respectively, signed the Framework Agreement on Deepening Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Cooperation in the Development of the Bay Area in Hong Kong today (July 1).
