Think Asia, think Hong Kong

Hong Kong is the gateway to not just Mainland China, but also other parts of Asia, according to Miss Gloria Lo, Director of the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office (HKETO) in Canada. Speaking yesterday (Wednesday) at the 2013 Investment Pitch Competition (iPic) in Edmonton, Miss Lo said that the Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN) is currently the second largest trading partner of Hong Kong. Those who make the move to expand and diversify their business into the China-ASEAN market should consider Hong Kong.

Hong Kong's Secretary of Education wraps up visit in Canada

On the last day of their visit in Toronto, the Hong Kong delegation led by Hong Kong's Secretary for Education (SED), Mr Eddie Ng Hak-kim, today (Wednesday) visited the Education Quality and Accountability Office in Ontario for exchanges on the system of examinations and assessment. They also met with the local Chinese media to wrap up the three-day visit.

Hong Kong's Secretary for Education continues official visit to Canada

Led by the Secretary for Education (SED), Mr Eddie Ng Hak-kim, a Hong Kong delegation today (Tuesday) continued their visit in Toronto. They had a tour of the George Brown College, the University of Toronto Libraries' Richard Charles Lee Canada-Hong Kong Library, and met with members of the Council of Ontario Universities (COU) and university presidents to exchange views on the development of academic structures and higher education in the two places.

Hong Kong's Secretary for Education embarks on official visit to Canada

Led by the Secretary for Education (SED), Mr Eddie Ng Hak-kim, a Hong Kong delegation visited Toronto, Canada, today (Monday). Mr Ng met with the Ontario Minister of Training, Colleges and Universities, Mr Brad Duguid, to exchange views on government policies, including higher education and manpower training.

Hong Kong: Global IPO market leader

After the successful acquisition of the London Metal Exchange at a price tag of US$2.2 billion, Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx) is now a "leading global vertically and horizontally-integrated multi-asset class" international exchange, according to the Assistant Vice President of the Global Markets Division of HKEx, Mr Michael Chan.
